It's Friday and we're here with some behind the scenes shots from the production floor. We build our boots here in Eugene, Oregon and we're very proud of our process and the end result, and we think you will enjoy some behind the scenes action.
The process starts with a hefty side of shrunken bison leather, and through many hands becomes a boot.
So many leathers, so little time. Here we've got an interesting version of waxed flesh in burgundy.
Soaking these veg tan counters helps the leather to take the heel shape more easily.
It is both hands and machine, at almost every step of the process.
Every person on the line is chosen for their attention to detail, a precision we need to meet our internal expectations of quality.
Our 5-in-1 is a critical tool in the process, used to trim the midsole as well as to roll along and flatten the welt.

After gluing, we use our outsole stitcher to finish the attachment of our commando sole.
Putting the finishing touches on that final shape of the welt/midsole/outsole.
Trying things, doing some research, got some new machines. You can be damn sure to expect some newness in 2025.

Thank you for making great boots. Thank you for all that you do, even though there are a whole bunch of cry babies that complain about the littlest things, I personally enjoy all of Truman boots. Whether you stay in the heritage line or adventure onto new things I know the quality will be there because Vince Romano seems like a man who has a vision for excellence.
